You're cooking it too long at too low of a temp. Increase the temp to medium high. This will cause it to cook faster and bubble more. After cooking, cover it with a towel and it'll stay warm and soft for a long time. After they cool to room temp, toss them in a plastic bag and they'll be soft and chewy for days. :)

ive just tried this, i'm struggling someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong, i cook it on a low flame, is that wrong?? mine barely bubbles and it comes out hard and crispy. mine comes out like cream crackers lol

OMG...I just made roti from another video and I understand this one more. The roti I had made was hard and crispy and I know its supposed to be soft. It didnt really taste like roti and I was so mad cause I was hungry lol THANKS! Now Im going to try again! =D Wish me LUCK! Lol

its called ah "tawa" if you live in NY or upstate somewhere you can look it up..when i make my buss up shot//paratha roti i use ah big frying pan so the oil won't leak out..but that's if i'm making like one or two..

This is a nice recipe, my parents are from India and we just use wholemeal flower and water for the dough. This is more like a paratha. Nice to see how they do it in different parts of the world.
