I loved the "Devads" movie. Rai was so good.

Is this what Paro brings to Devdas as an excuse to see him in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film? (^___^) Or is that a different meaning of sandesh?

I never thought I would love an Indian sweet, but this recipe changed my mind. It's wonderful! Thank you, Manjula, for your great teaching, too. You have a gift for it.

I really didn't know .. that's interesting to me. I looked up 'pineapple' on Wikipedia to learn about its origins and see how it might have been introduced to India. Not much luck - it is native to Brazil and Paraguay. From those countries it spread to the Caribbean, and Columbus brought it back to Europe. Maybe pineapple is a British colonial influence. I guess all that matters these days is that it tastes delicious in recipes like these. :)

Hello Manjula! This recipe sounds so yummy, (I wish you could push one through the screen). My question is, after you have completed these, do they need to be refrigerated? Also, could one use dried pineapple? I was wondering to send my sister via the UPS or other. What do you think?Thank you again for sharing your tasty recipes.
