2) That means that either you overcooked rice so you lost the moment when all moister has gone from the dish or there is not enough liquid at all. You can add water ot stock up to cover all the chicken since in anyway rice is on top of it and you will finish the rice cooking on the steam, it's not a problem.

Howdy Mindy,1) It depends on what do you want to eat in the final run. Chicken meat usually tender itself and doesn't require long marinating to make the meat soft, but you can marinate it overnight to make biryani more spicy in taste. Originally, it's not done in this way, but you can try.

Hi Chef,I have 2 questions:1.) Does it help if you marinate the chicken in the yogurt mixture overnight?2.) I tried making this dish but the chicken mixture got burnt at the bottom. How can I avoid that?Thanks.Mindy.
