Maybe the mother was out doing errands, or tending to an older kid at school? The baby looks old enough that she might have been switched over to regular milk by now; my kids started drinking cow's milk at about one year.As for the cats, looks like thier farm was down the road from the baby's home.

i think i was 3 or 4 when i first saw this, and it was the first sesame street sideshow i could sing-along to. 30-years latter and it has the same affect on me.

God, I have been looking for this video FOREVER!! Me and my little brother used to kid around singing "milk! miilk! Milk! doo doo doo da da da!" And then we would pretend to be the baby crying. Oh wow, so good to see this and the "1,2,3,4,5...6,7,8,9,10,11,twe-e-e-elve" song!
